Do Good – Wear Fair

This is the slogan of Kyuichi, another great Dutch Jeans brand. Unfortunately lately they are not a lot in the picture but something tells me they will be back, better and stronger than ever before.

The recycle and fair market was uncommon for the high end fashion industry, and when the foundation Solidaridad wanted to introduce this concept no fashion brand wanted to work with them. Even though they already had a proven track record.

Thus.. they started their own brand. And with success.Kyuichh

Anton Corbijn

One of the most influential black and white photographers is Anton Corbijn. His style is unique and like no other.

Born in Strijen in the Netherlands, Anton started his career as a music photographer in around 1975, when he saw the Dutch musician Herman Brood playing at a cafe in Groningen. His pictures gained instant exposure for Brood, and Anton remained his ‘in-house’ photographer until the singer’s death in 2001. Anton has since maintained a similar pattern of long-term collaboration with many other artists.

G-Star Raw

G StarThe Dutch rule, when reading my blog you will find out why. They are crazy innovative, creative and entrepreneur like.

One of their amazing Jeans brands is G-Star. From high-end crazy design to beautiful marketing ads.

G-Star RAW (commonly called G-Star) is a Dutch designer clothing company that, founded in Amsterdam in 1989, produces urban clothing. Models for the brand include Liv Tyler, Girls’ Generation, World Chess Champion Magnus Carlsen, Clémence Poésy and musician Sergio Pizzorno. It was showcased at the New York Fashion Week from 2008 to 2011.

G-Star was originally named Gap Star but decided to change their name upon going international to avoid confusion with the already established Gap. The brand specializes in making raw denim—an unwashed, untreated denim. G-Star is influenced by military clothing. Inspirations of their designs come from vintage military apparel from around the world. Some examples include special pockets constructions and the use of trims.

G-Star’s flagship stores are located in New York City, San Francisco, Los Angeles, Edinburgh, Melbourne, Sydney, Paris, London, Cardiff, Milan Santiago de Chile and the Netherlands as its home base in the most luxurious shopping street of Amsterdam, the P.C. Hooftstraat. In total, G-Star has more than 6500 selling points world wide.
