Sandblasting
|
It is reported to have started sometime in the late 80’s in Italy. It is a technique of blasting the jeans
with sand after they have been produced. They effect is to replicate worn areas on those new pants. Often times the
only place you will see a pair of hand sand blasted blue jeans is a boutique. This process is very labor intensive
and will drive up the cost of the jeans. How ever if you want a custom pair of jeans or jean jacket for that matter
this is one way to go. The other of course is if you buy a pair of jeans and hand sand them yourself. A simple piece of
sand paper and a little bit of your time can replicate a designer pair of sandblasted blue jeans.
